Nokia's next iteration Internet Tablet, the N900, seems to have been "leaked". The device, also known as the RX-51 and Rover, has been seen in rather unimpressive image of it resting inside what seems to be a retail packaging.
The N900, as we are calling it now, can be termed an upgrade over the N97. The device features a full QWERTY keyboard and a huge 3.5-inch touch screen capable of WVGA resolution (800x480). It is expected to run the upcoming Maeomo5 OS, the latest version of the Linux based smartphone OS that Nokia uses for its lineup of tablet devices. That, we believe, would be the major difference between this one and the N97 which runs on the more "mass market" Series 60 Fifth Edition OS.
As for other features, there is a sliding cover as well and storage capacity of 32GB thanks to an internal hard drive. If that was not enough, you can expand the memory further using additional microSD cards. The processor is believed to be a 600Mhz ARM one clocked at 600MHz.
Other specs include a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, hidden by the sliding cover. Now that the device is out in the flesh, we expect this one to be seen at a store near you very soon.
