So, Nokia is REALLY working on the N97 Mini! Regular readers might be aware of the recent news about Nokia prepping a mini version of the N97. The N97 Mini would be lighter on the pockets (literally!) for people who think the N97 is just too huge, and ahem, expensive.
The device is smaller than the N97, sheds the D-Pad and has a lower storage space with the 16GB capacity being halved to 8- which mind you, is still a decent amount of space! The usually correct Eldar Murtazin from Mobile Review is the person who has made it clear that the N97 Mini is very much real and that it is definitely not some cheap knock off. He added that this one would be announced next month at Nokia World in Stuttgart.
The N97 Mini wll be identical to the N97 except for the afforementioned features. The removal of certain features makes it cheaper by a couple of hundred dollars while still staying feature packed. The "scaled down" screen will still be huge at 2.9 inches. 640*360 pixel resolution with 16million clors too is nt bad at all. So, its next month at Stuttgart, Nokia?
