Ok. This is coming from TechCrunch head honcho Michael Arrington. The guy is a piece of work, trust me. Arrington has been in the past associated with many successful "leaked" stories and it is for the same reason almost everyone is attaching credence to this one as well.
So, what we have at the very beginning of this tech week is news that Dell is apparently readying its smartphone and launching it in China! Oh and it might be available starting tomorrow, if all goes well. Now, if this does happen to be true, this is going to be one well kept secret by Dell. The phone will be reportedly "iPhone like" and will come minus a physical keyboard. It will run Android, maybe a customized one like the Ophone has already. Back in April, there was this news of Dell creating a proprietary operating system with China-based software maker Red Office. Is this the culmination of that alliance? Well, we do not know, as of now!
With just one day to go for the purported launch and still no news from Dell, all we can do is play the waiting game. Just because this has come from a very trusted source, we will keep monitoring this one for sure! Watch this space!
